Boost your summer reading at CLMA this summer! TD Summer Reading Club is Canada’s biggest summer reading program for kids of all ages, interests and abilities.

Join us each week for programs and activities across all locations. Show off your reading log to earn ballots for weekly prizes and grand prize draws. Have fun reading new books and trying new challenges!

Under the Sea

Week 1: June 29 - July 4

Discover: Take a trip under the sea where schools of fish, octopuses and anemones  thrive! Enjoy activties and help create a coral reef library display!

Investigate: Enjoy activities that explore the science and wonders of ocean life, and  learn how coral reef ecosystems really work.

Be a Pirate!

Week 2: July 6-11

Discover: Ahoy swashbucklers! Ye be in for a treat! Time to discover your inner pirate through stories, games and activities.

Investigate: Step into the adventurous world of real and imagined pirates as you explore tales of treasure, daring raids and life at sea.

Ocean Monsters & Giants

Week 3: July 13-18

Discover: Dive into the world of the biggest creatures in the oceans. Learn about what lurks below and make your own giant jellyfish!

Investigate: The ocean hides all sorts of giant creatures. How do you measure up against a blue whale? How big are the eyes of a Giant Squid? Just be careful one doesn’t follow you home...

Swamp Life!

Week 4: July 20-25

Discover: Splash into a lively wetland world where frogs leap, turtles roam, and swamp creatures hide among the reeds! Create your own paper plate turtle, enjoy colouring sheets, and go on a seek-and-find hunt for hidden swamp animals.

Investigate: Explore how wetlands support a wide variety of animals and why these places are so important. Take part in a hands-on dam-building challenge, test your skills with crosswords and word searches, and complete a jumping frog craft inspired by wetland wildlife.

Myths & Legends

Week 5: July 27 - August 1

Discover: Are they real? Get ready to explore fascinating myths and legends from Atlantis to Bigfoot and everything in between.

Investigate: Are they real? Learn the stories behind famous mysteries, from ancient cities to modern cryptid sightings.

Arctic Adventures

Week 6: August 4-8

Discover: Bundle up for a frosty adventure in the Arctic, where polar animals and snowy surprises await! Create your own paper plate walrus, try a cool blubber STEM experiment, and set off on an exciting Arctic scavenger hunt.

Investigate: Discover how animals survive in one of the coldest places on Earth—the Arctic. Build your own shelter in a den-building challenge, express your creativity through an Arctic-themed writing activity, and design a habitat craft inspired by life in the North.

Explore the Deep

Week 7: August 10-15

Discover: Explore the deep dark secrets of the ocean!  How does marine life thrive in this vast dark place?  Make glow in the dark crafts and learn how to keep these ocean creatures safe 

Investigate: Dive deep into the ocean to find remarkable creatures and discover how they live without light and minimal food. Create undersea crafts and learn how to keep these creatures safe.

Accessibility

The TD SRC is for children of all abilities, no matter how they read! Find SRC notebooks adapted for physical, visual, or learning disabilities on the national TD Summer Reading Club website, with SRC books in a variety of accessible formats, such as DAISY audio and braille.
