CLMA Book Locker
Now Available at the Darlington Sports Centre!
CLMA's first book locker is now available at the Municipality of Clarington's Darlington Sports Centre! (2276 Taunton Rd, Hampton)
The book locker allows you to borrow books from a convenient, high traffic area in the community, making accessing CLMA resources even easier!
For facility hours and information, please see the Municipality of Clarington's website.
How does the book locker work?
Users must have a valid CLMA library card to use the book locker. You scan your card, the door will pop open, select your books, then close the door. Once the door is closed, the items will be checked out to your card. Each book has a RFID tag in it that the locker will register when removed from the shelf.
What kind of books are available?
The locker features new and high interest adult fiction, adult non-fiction, junior graphic novels, and picture books. Different items may be added depending on how the book locker is used!
Books in the locker cannot be placed on hold – think of them as Rapid Reads with 3-week borrowing periods. Books borrowed from the locker may be returned to any CLMA library location, or to the drop box located beside the book locker.
