How to Apply

To apply for a specific job opportunity, you must first sign up for an account to create your profile, upload your resume, and add additional information to your profile. We do not accept mailed, emailed, hand-delivered or faxed resumes or cover letters.

New accounts get created when applicants apply for a job for the first time. Follow these steps to create a new account.

  1. Go to our Careers Centre. (We recommend using Google Chrome for the best experience).
  2. Click on a job posting to view the details, then click Apply.
  3. Fill out the required fields or sign in using one of your social media accounts.
  4. Click Continue.
  5. Enter the verification code that was sent by email or text.
  6. Click Verify.

Your account has now been created, and you can proceed through the application steps.

  1. Enter your personal information in the required fields.
  2. Upload your resume and any other attachments under the section Curriculum Vitae.
  3. Complete any job-related pre-screening questions (if applicable).
  4. Review your application to ensure the information you filled out is accurate.
  5. If you agree with the self-attestation, select “Yes, I agree to sign electronically” and type in your full name as a acknowledgement.
  6. Click Submit.
  7. You will receive an automated email or text to confirm that we have received you application.

Logging In

You can view positions that are currently posted without an account. To apply for a job, you must log in through your account.

No, you must have an account in the system to complete the application process.

Creating an Account

An account is created in the process of when you are applying to a job for the first time. If you want to apply to multiple jobs, your account will then be saved after your first application. You can then sign in to view your "Applications" and can apply to other jobs.

After you apply to a job, you will get an email or a text notification to confirm your application has been received by Clarington Library, Museums & Archives.

You can check the status of any position you have applied to by signing into your account. Click My Applications to see all of the positions you've applied to. If the job is still live, you will also see a note under the job posting of your application status and when you applied.

Updating and Submitting your Information

To update your information, sign in to your account and click My Profile. On your profile page, you can update your personal information. When finished, click Save Profile at the bottom of each page.

The Clarington Library, Museums & Archives attempts to provide volunteer opportunities for secondary school students to help them fulfill their community service requirements and to expose them to some of the services of the public library.
